Welcome to Passionflower Doula Services! I am a certified doula, artist, and teacher in Oakland California. I came to birthwork after years of working professionally with infants and their families as a classroom teacher, and through my work as a visual artist and researcher. I love the dynamics of learning and connection between infants and caregivers, and was deeply drawn to the very beginning of that relationship - pregnancy and birth. I am honored to hold and support parents as they navigate this enormous and transformative time.

My approach as a doula is to be an informed, supporting, and non-judgemental presence as you navigate pregnancy and the birth setting of your choice, as well as the postpartum period, or “fourth trimester.” My goal is to create an environment where you can tap into your intuition to have an empowered birth experience and a restful and satisfying postpartum period.

I am a certified postpartum doula, pediatric and infant CPR and first aid certified, and a trained birth doula through Cornerstone Birth, Campesina Womb Justice, and through my work at Alta Bates Hospital. I’ve worked with many beautiful families in the bay area, and am excited to connect with more.
